A resource for postgraduate students intending to teach languages

The Language Centre is developing a site to bring together resources to support postgraduate students considering careers as academics or as language teachers in other sectors. Academic careers in language departments/faculties will often involve language teaching, even where this is not the individual's specialism.

The resources on the site have been collated from a variety of sources. featured guest speakers from both the UK and the US.

The site includes:

• A guide to reference materials on language teaching, including links to online training/development modules and a bibliography.
• Presentations by speakers at various training workshops.

Resources will be added to this site from further workshops for postgraduate students in languages disciplines.
