Access to the John Trim Centre

If you are a UK resident but not a current member of the University, and would like to use the Language Centre, you may apply to become a fee-paying member.

The John Trim Centre is at the heart of the LC, offering over 180 languages for University students, staff and fee paying members to use for independent study.

Newly renovated, it offers learners comfortable, peaceful and dedicated seating workspaces (Complete with USB, USB-C connection points, PCs and portable DVD players) and access to two spacious supervision rooms.

Becoming a Fee-paying member

Our current fee-paying members include Cambridge alumni, partners of University members, retired staff and other members of the public.

Fee-payers can pay termly or annually, to access the resources in the John Trim Centre:

• Termly fee £18
• Annual fee £54

This includes an initial one-to-one appointment with a Language Adviser.
