Click and Collect Service

Speaking Practice

  • From Monday 25 January 2021 Click and Collect Service.
  • Are you looking for a quiet study space during lock-down? The Language Centre is offering bookable hourly time slots in the JTC.

If you are a student or staff member of Cambridge University and wish to borrow or renew a resource from the John Trim Centre, please email Nicholas Green, copying in, and provide the title and class mark. A member of the Advising team will locate your item(s) for you, so please ensure you contact us at least one day in advance.

  • Resources are loaned for two weeks at a time with a maximum of three loans at any one time. Resources may be renewed up to three times, but if a resource on loan has been requested, it will not be possible to renew.
  • Upon return, resources will be quarantined for 72 hours and then put back into circulation.
  • Collection and returns are available from Monday to Friday between the hours of 14.30-18.00 but it would be helpful to know in advance which day you intend to come in.
  • Please note that you will need to ring the buzzer to the right of the front door as it will be locked.
  • Returned items should be left in the returns box located inside the Language Centre entrance.

When entering the building, please adhere to the clearly marked COVID-19 guidelines and the University's policy on face coverings below:

The University and the Colleges expect all members of the Cambridge community to wear face coverings at all times in all indoor work or study settings, even if two-metre social distancing can be achieved. The only exceptions are working in single occupancy rooms with closed doors, when eating or drinking, or if you have a medical exemption. Staff and students should carry a face covering at all times and wear them when asked to do so.
