Profile

Jo came to the Language Centre on secondment after ten years in the Academic Secretary’s Office of the University of Cambridge and liked it so much that she stayed, being permanently appointed to the post in November 2017. She is responsible for the general running of the Language Centre.

A Cambridge native, she studied Chinese and French at the University of Durham, and has A-levels in French, German, Italian and Spanish. She has also taught herself Danish. She fervently believes that you cannot speak too many languages badly…
