Language Centre Administrator (Academic-related)

The role

The purpose of the role of Centre Administrator is to manage the administration and operations of the Language Centre. The Centre Administrator advises the Centre Director on overall strategy whilst supporting them, and other senior staff, in the planning and implementation of new developments to support teaching and language delivery. The role-holder manages, oversees, and facilitates a wide range of administrative responsibilities and functions, including finance, compliance, communications and space management. The role-holder will also from time-to-time lead and manage projects across institutions of the School and working with central offices.

About you

You will be an experienced administrator, preferably with experience in a Higher Education context, with a track record spanning financial management, HR and facilities support as well as governance. You will relish multi-tasking across the range of duties required to administer a relatively small and self-contained department while also having the skills to network with wider teams of professional services colleagues across the School and the University. You will have excellent communication skills including in a very multicultural working environment and experience of managing and developing staff and leading small teams.
