- University of Cambridge Language Centre Open Courseware - a range of language learning resources available as open courseware under the Creative Commons Licence.
- LORO - contains resources for language teaching available to download and reuse, including those used by the Department of Languages at the Open University, UK. Sign up for a free account and start publishing and sharing your own materials with other language teachers.
- The Open Courseware Consortium: languages - a worldwide community of hundreds of higher education institutions and associated organizations committed to advancing OpenCourseWare and its impact on global education.
- MIT (US) Open Courseware for languages - MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) is a web-based publication and is open and available to the world and is a permanent MIT activity.
- LanguageBox - an open web-based repository for language teachers. Teachers can browse and find free digitised language teaching and learning resources, which have been shared by other teachers under a Creative Commons licence. Teachers can also create a professional profile, join the LanguageBox user community and upload some of their own teaching resources for sharing.
- HumBox - a new way of storing, managing and publishing your Humanities teaching resources on the web. Share handouts, exercises, podcasts, videos and anything else you can imagine!

- LOC Tool (http://loc.llas.ac.uk/)
The Learning Object Creator (LOC) is an online authoring tool for teachers, designed to help them create effective online learning materials with little or no technical support. LOC was developed at the University of Southampton and is free to use for educational purposes. An initial workshop provides training in creating effective online materials and use of the tool.
