Profile

Christoph is responsible for the IT Strategy of the Language Centre, including the development of on-line language learning systems and associated support facilities. His work includes the design and implementation of in-house systems (CULP on-line support) as well as sites for third parties. He focuses on system architecture and programming and coordinates the work of designers and developers.

He also manages and coordinates the Centre's IT and technical staff who are in charge of the day to day running of the Centre's computing and other technical facilities.

Christoph's background is in German philology, computational linguistics and educational technology. He was lecturer in German and Computational Linguistics at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology before coming to Cambridge.

His main interests are in languages - natural and otherwise -, logic, computation and cognitive processing.
