Joris Lachaise (2014)

A documentary filmed in a suburb of Dakar, Senegal which takes us into a psychiatric hospital and follows Khady Sylla, a writer and film-maker, who has been admitted to the hospital several times.

It looks at different types of care including religious, traditional, and modern, as well as exploring the recent history in Senegal and its independence.

In French with some spoken Wolof and with French subtitles for most of the documentary.
