A beginner's course in Urdu which comprises a text and two accompanying audio CDs and features situational dialogue.

It introduces the Urdu script to the reader, making sure they have a clear understanding of the phonetic transcription system used to help with pronunciation.

Throughout the course, the emphasis is placed on politeness and formality which is a characteristic of the Urdu language.
