The opening scenes show Mahomed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, arriving at Karachi airport on a stretcher, exhausted and emaciated.

The statesman’s life story unfolds partly through narration, partly through some surrealist sequences and partly through flashbacks into Jinnah’s early political career.
