Essentials of modern literary Tibetan : a reading course and reference grammar

A comprehensive course aimed at beginner learners, divided in 3 parts.

Part 1 and 2 comprise 8 lessons each and constitute the course proper, with explanations, exercises, readings and other activities. Part 3 presents a Tibetan-English glossary, a verb declension table, a pronunciation section and further reading material (Communist political essays).

Although Tibetan-English translations are given throughout, there is no transliteration to aid pronunciation and a certain familiarity with the Tibetan script would be useful.
