The film is a drama set in South Africa and tells the story of a 12-year-old girl called Chanda who is shouldered with the responsibility of keeping her family going while also facing the scrutiny and disapproval of the local townspeople.

The film highlights the stigma around AIDS and the fear that this can create through people's lack of understanding.
