A beginner's course in Somali which encourages the learner to develop skills in speaking, listening, writing and reading.

It is divided into 18 lessons featuring the following topics: Introducing oneself, the Family, Activities and life at home, Housing and accommodation, People, Nationalities and age, Personalities, Going on a trip, Means of transport, Clothing, Shopping, Food, Time, Ceremonies and celebrations, Directions, African Languages and Countries, University life.

Also includes a preliminary lesson which introduces very basic grammar and pronunciation, a grammatical index and a two-way Somali-English glossary.
