This book and accompanying CDs provide examples, diagrams and practice exercises designed to improve pronunciation of Portuguese.

The main body of the book is dedicated to listening and production exercises divided into sections based on particular sounds (answers to listening exercises at the back of the book. Includes four introductory sections on linguistic categorisation of Portuguese sounds, phonetics, phonology and spelling, prosody and the International Phonetic Alphabet.

Instructions are in Portuguese which requires an intermediate reading level.
