A beginner (A1) course in spoken and written Portuguese.

Uses a building-block approach, each unit first introducing new vocabulary, followed by longer phrases and sentences and finally explaining how it all fits together in an everyday conversation.

The accompanying CD features many examples of pronunciation and sentences in Portuguese and there are comprehension quizzes at the end of each unit for self-evaluation purposes.
