This documentary is the story of Aisholpan Nurgaiv, a 13-year-old nomadic Kazakh girl who is trained by her father to hunt on horseback with a golden eagle; traditionally a male pursuit, she shocks everyone by winning the prestigious eagle-hunters' competition held annually in north-western Mongolia.

The story is narrated by Daisy Ridley, with Kazakh dialogues subtitled in English.
