Based on Natalia Ginzburg's play this comedy revolves around a young couple, Pietro and Giuliana, who do not seem to have much in common.

Their marriage though seems to work, as Pietro enjoys Giuliana's clumsiness and disaster-prone personality, which comes out in full when his mother visits them.
