This warm and witty film portrays the challenges facing Margherita, a film director who is juggling the demands of her professional and personal life.

She is divorced, struggling with her daughter, and what is more her mother's health has suddenly deteriorated and it is Margherita's brother, Giovanni, who is ultimately looking after her.
