Shun Li and the poet

Shun li arrives in a small fishing village in Italy. She is working in a bar to pay back the people who paid to bring her from China and to eventually pay for a ticket for her 8-year-old son to join her.

There she meets Bepi, a Croatian man nearing retirement, who has lived in the village for nearly thirty years. They develop an unlikely friendship through their love of poetry and feelings of loneliness.

Original Italian version with some spoken Chinese and with optional English subtitles.
