Verdi's famous opera, 'Rigoletto,' is based on the play, 'Le roi s'amuse,' by Victor Hugo.

It tells the story of a hunchbacked jester called Rigoletto, who has made enemies with everyone at court and is jester to the Duke of Mantua. When his daughter, Gilda, is kidnapped by the Duke, believing that she has fallen in love with a poor student, Rigoletto decides to kill him.

Sung in Italian with optional Italian, English, French and German subtitles.
