This film depicts the events of a special day: May 8, 1938, as Rome celebrates the meeting of Hitler and Mussolini.

In a block of tenements in San Giovanni district, the two protagonists meet and are drawn to each other. They discover a mutual sense of isolation and loneliness and share their anti-fascist thoughts.
