Filmed stage version of Verdi's opera.

Tragic love story originally set in fifteenth-century Spain, here updated to 1865. Manrico is a gypsy troubadour who is in love with the noblewoman Leonora. Tragedy ensues when Manrico is called up to fight against the Count de Luna, his rival in love, and his brother.

In Italian with English, French, German and Spanish subtitles.
