Drama set in and around post-war Naples.

Alexander and Katherine Joyce, a middle-class English couple, arrive in Naples in order to sell a dead relative's country villa. There is a coolness in their relationship that escalates to hostility under the strain of being alone together in a foreign country. As Katherine immerses herself in the past, and Alex indulges his libido, the couple's marriage seems set to crumble apart. (Cert. PG)
