Drama focusing on how a woman's illness affects her and her family.

Grazia, a young wife and mother of three, spends suffocating days packing fish on the island of Lampedusa while her husband Pietro is out at sea. Her often erratic behaviour leads Pietro to believe she needs medical treatment and prepares to send her to a psychiatric institution in Milan. Helped by her eldest son, Pasquale, Grazia leaves her home in order to escape incarceration. (Cert. 12)
