Fellini's eighth-and-a-half film follows Guido Anselmi, a filmmaker struggling to make his next big movie. Booked into a health spa, Guido tries to avert a potential nervous breakdown with mud baths, holy water and long baths in hot springs. Joining Guido is his mistress and his memories, and interrupted by a stream of visitors desperate to know more about his latest project. (Cert. 15)
