Sensitive road movie about childhood and friendship.

11-year-old Rosetta and her younger brother Luciano are taken away from their abusive mother by the police. Policeman Antonio is given the job of finding the children a new home, and when the church turns them away he decides to take the case into his own hands. But as Antonio and the children journey down the length of Italy, a scandal is brewing over the children's sudden "disappearance". (Cert. 15)
