Nostalgic account of growing up in 1930s Rimini.

Fellini remembers the world of his adolescence through the character of teenager Titta. At school he and his classmates play pranks on their larger-than-life teachers; at home a family dinner escalates into a brawl. Sexual escapades, a visit from Mussolini and other teenage memories are re-enacted by a cast of bizarre, occasionally grotesque but affectionately imagined figures.
