Semi-fictional account of the 1994 Italian elections.

Filmmaker Moretti is about to make a musical but abandons the project on the first day of shooting after running out of inspiration. Instead, he decides to make a film about the election of a right-wing coalition into the Italian parliament. Whilst doing so, Moretti also documents his own impending fatherhood and provides some insights into the nature of filmmaking. (Cert. 15)
