Hawaiian language version of an ancient Hawaiian saga as told by Ho'oulumahiehie and printed as a daily serial in the Hawaiian-language newspaper Ka Na'i Aupuni from 1905 to 1906.
It is a detailed account the Godess Pele's migration to Kilauea and her younger sister Hi'iakaikapoliopele's quest to find her a handsome lover, facing magical enemies, demons and Gods along the way.
Includes accounts of many religious and cultural practices such as healing arts, chants, poetry and hula. Could be used as parallel reading with English language version.
