Adama meshuga'at (Sweet mud)
Dror Shaul (2007)
This satirical drama is set in the mid 1970s at the Bet Gvurot Kibbutz, a progressive collective in Southern Israel.
While tackling darker sides of kibbutz life, difficult individuals and segregation, the director delivers a sensitive and beautifully photographed story about a young boy’s love of his mother and his coming of age.
With optional subtitles in Hebrew and English.
