Aharon Appelfeld reflects in his lecture, entitled A different testimony, on the literature of the Shoah, testimonies of the survivors, particularly in view of their different personal perspectives - the testimonies of the adult survivor vs. the testimonies of the child survivor.
He also considers the value of historically and factually precise testimonies serving as chronicles, the reconstructed testimonies and imaginative writing on the Shoah.
