This book is for advanced learners of German who wish to learn to analyse texts in order to improve the quality and authenticity of their writing.

Five types of text are explored: personal writing, narrative, descriptive/informative, formal letters and persuasive/argumentative.

Tasks are based around an introductory model text in each unit and students are to utilise authentic websites and research books to work on their answers. An accompanying 'Lehrerbuch' gives some insights into background work necessary to get the best results.
