Based upon the novel by Patrick Süskind, this film is set against the colourful backdrop of 18th century France and tells the story of an unfortunate boy, Jean Baptiste Grenouille, who is born in a fish market in the Parisian slums.

He embarks on a quest to learn the art of perfume making and concoct the ultimate perfume.
