Set in Ruhr during the summer of 1954,this film focuses on the fragile realtionship between father and son.

After returning from a Soviet PoW camp after 13 yrs, the relationship between father and son is strained. Through a passion for football the father and son grow closer again – the World Cup about to be held in Bern, in Switzerland offers an opportunity for both.
