A short story suitable for those with an intermediate level in French.

Set in 1919 St. Petersburg it follows the story of 18 year old Sonetchka, who gets a job as an assistant to famous soprano singer Maria Travin.

Sonetchka heads to Paris with her employer and husband and is both impressed and repulsed by the new world that she is introduced to.
