This film recreates the events that took place in the coup attempt in the city of Algiers in May 1958, where the Algerian National Liberation Front (FLN) began a war of liberation in an attempt to bring an end to French colonial rule.

This film offers an unbiased portrayal of the atrocities committed by both sides in the conflict between 1954 and 1962.
