Drama set in colonial India.

In the 1930s the last years of colonial privilege are being played out by the banks of the Ganges. It is monsoon season and Anne-Marie Stretter moves from partner to partner, avoiding the vice-consul. Bewildered by his declaration of love, she decides to leave the country.
