Biographical childhood drama.

Based on the memories of her husband, filmmaker Jacques Demy, Agnès Varda's film charts young Jacquot's formative years and his success as a director. Jacquot lives with his father, a mechanic, and his mother, a hairdresser. After falling in love with film, Jacquot is determined to make movies, despite his father's insistence that he learn a trade.
