Drama set in Montreal.

When his visa is due to expire, Pablo Torres, a political refugee from Chile, is persuaded into a marriage of convenience with his lawyer's sister Claire. Although she is involved with a married man, Claire reluctantly agrees to the marriage. After the wedding, the two plan to live separate lives, but when the immigration officers become suspicious they are forced to live together.
