Biopic of French political figure Léon Blum (1872-1950).

Based on historical documents and photographs, the film follows Blum's political life and looks at the role played by his wife, Thérèse. The story begins in January 1936, shortly before Blum became President of France for the first time. It also looks back over his years at the head of the French Popular Front and the political repercussions following the general strike.
