Drama set in the aftermath of the First World War.

In rural France in 1920 two women from very different backgrounds search for loved ones who never returned from the war. Working for the War Casualties Identification Bureau, Major Dellaplane's task is to account for the 350,000 soldiers who went missing in action. As he deal's with the two women's cases, romance starts to blossom and Dellaplane fights against bureaucracy in order to get at the truth.
