This pack comprises the first part of an advanced-level (C1) grammar course with accompanying workbook.

The structure of the course enables students to quickly target problem areas in their Academic Writing. There are three main sections (Cause and effect, Comarison and contrast and Narrative) which are then sub-divided into meaningful funtions such as complex sentences, topic sentences, time clauses, comparatives and superlatives, summarising among many others.

The workbook provides extra practice for all of the units (see separate teacher's book and CD-ROM for answers). Includes appendices: Parts of an essay, Writer's checklist, About plagiarism, Academic Word List.
