The film follows a middle-aged actress called Maria, who is asked to return to a play she took part in 20 years earlier, the only difference being that this time she will portray the older woman in the play and not the young starlet.

Feelings of insecurity and jealousy erupt in Maria leaving her personal assistant, Valentine, doing her best to smooth things over.
