This reader assumes no prior knowledge of Dutch and begins with a short alphabet and pronunciation guide. Contains elementary reading materials starting with single sentences and progressing to two-page stories.

Each reading is written in parallel Dutch and English and is introduced with a parallel word list to aid comprehension.
