Jia Zhangke (2006)

The film is set in a small town on the Yangtze river which is slowly being destroyed by the building of the Three Gorges Dam.

Follows Han Sanming who has returned to the area in search of his wife who ran away sixteen years previously and Shen Hong, a nurse, who is searching for her husband who has been gone for two years.

In Chinese with optional English subtitles.
