A documentary series in twelve episodes, recounting the history of the Imperial Palace in China, also known as the Forbidden City.

Covers the years 1405-1905 (spanning the Ming and Quing dynasties) showcasing the architecture of the Palace and its collection of rare antiques as well as documenting the historic events and the mysteries of life inside the walls.
