A beginner-level course in the pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary of Bengali.

Originally produced by the Foreign Service Institute to help US nationals on field work to learn Bengali quickly, this USB holds both the original book and all of the recordings (now in the public domain).

Spoken repetition drills form a central part of the course; new vocabulary is introduced through dialogues with build-ups and narratives; grammar is explained and then practised through substitution and similar drills.
