A film is based on the novel ’Abhijan’ by Tarashankar Banerjee, set on the Bihar-Bengal border.

In the 1930's, the protagonist, Rana Pratap Narsingh (Singhi) attempts to make his way around Bengal in his 1930 Chrysler and his servant and sidekick, Rama.
