This book depicts the life of the Bhotia people from the point of view of a team from 'Time-Life' investigating for the 'Peoples of the wild' series.
There are 400,000 Bhotia people who inhabit the high valleys of the Hiamlayas and lands to the West and East, each small community isolated by mountain ranges and gorges.
Contains accounts of the lives and hardships of some of these peoples in two villages of the Nar-Phu valley in the extreme north of central Nepal with many photographs illustrating the landscape and way of life in the region. The languages of these peoples are mentioned on pages 15 and 25.
