Nitin Kakkar (2014)
The film is set initially in Mumbai, where Bollywood buff Sunny works as an assistant director and fantasizes on becoming a heart-throb star, but his auditions invariably end badly, so he embarks with an American crew to remote areas in Rajasthan to work on a documentary.
There he is kidnapped by an Islamic terrorist group and is confined to the house of a Pakistani, who earns a living from pirated Hindi films: the two factions realize that they share some common ground and cinema comes to stand as the universal panacea for co-existence.
In Hindi with optional English subtitles.
